We have just taken on our very first puppy - a labradoodle X staffy (although I think her looks are more that of a staffy) and I think we happened to get one with a dominant personality.
Hi Thanks for the comment on our topic 'Sticks or branches' They seem to like all things natural!!!! As for the response on greetings i do not proclaim to be an expert on staffy behaviour.. But will give my personal advice! Rocky goes mad when we come home! He cant wait to greet us! I can understand that a pup may become very excitable and bite at your legs! Rocky does this also amongst other things...(running from 1 end of the room and barging into us, nipping at arms and legs!) BUT Rocky is a large 2 year old!!! I realise that this is not always acceptable behavior! But when you think of it from a more basic dog perception. They have been left alone for whatever period of time and are so glad that you are back! Being such loving dogs they express this in extreme ways. Altough it can be annoying sometimes I find this an endearing trait of the dog! maybe i am too soft!!!
