Has to be staffords! Loved doing agility with Kc but we had to stop due to her operations and a house move and now near on impossible to find a new club with spaces!! Now we r starting flyball in a couple of weeks.
I also enjoy anything equine, cross stitch and holidaying with (and without) Kc!
Im hoping to do more dog fostering too as i do enjoy it although has proved an expensive 'hobby' - i have taken in 4 dogs so far (mainly strays and not through rescue centres) and successfully rehomed them. All have been german shepherds although i plan on and want to foster staffies.
Television:
Gotta watch the dog whisperer (although do not agree with prong collars!!)
Jeremy Kyle (Heaven knows y people want to air their dirty laundry on national tv but can provide good entertainment!)
Most animal rescue programmes on the Animal Planet channels
Heroes:
My Dad - hes the best!!
Books:
The Dog Whisperer - the frst book am reading now!
'IT' Dave Pelzer
I am rather partial to true stories - as horrible and hard to read as some of the r (anyone who has read the Dave Pelzer will know what i mean!)
Duracell Bunny (working register for agility not kennel club)
About Me:
I love my Kc!! I work in the security industry which is static and dog handling work which i do enjoy although unsociable hours it gives me lots of time off to spend with Kc and the horses. Im currently enroling on a home study course for canine behaviour and psychology which is a major interest of mine.
I had my first staffie when i was 19 - he was 9 months old and he was being encouraged to fight so we removed him from his situation and took him in and after 2yrs of patience hard work and training he became a dog friendly and sociable boy. I miss him dearly but c him occasionally ( hes now coming up for 9yrs old and living with my ex).
I am a sucker for a dog in need! As previously said, ive taken in 4 dogs and successfully rehomed them - hard work and expensive! I would now like to foster staffies for rescue centres as the rehoming side can be difficult and stressful.
