Jedd's hernia part 2

As you will already know Jedd is having his hernia done on Wednesday.When i had him i knew that it would have to be done and the vet said wait until he is 6 months old and then get the hernia done and have him castrated at the same time at a price of £132.00.Now he is 7 months old i went and made appointment for the hernia and just the hernia as my OH was thinking let's mate him but i wasn't keen on this .I didn't ask for a price for just the hernia when i made the appointment but i phoned later that day and it would of cost £200.So now he is having both the hernia done and being castrated at the same time .What will be the recovery period and when will he beable  to go out.

poor lad hope i recover quick hernia op 30th april send me sum advice jedd ouch ah ah am dredding it and i,m human!!!!!!

I think it is normally 10 days after the spaying/castration operation that they can go out, though they can go out before but on a short lead and only for 10 minutes.  I havent had harley done yet but muffin recovered so quickly.  In fact she was playing about the day after her operation!  It is amazing how quickly they recover.

I can't say about the hernia, but they bounce back really quickly from the castration. In fact the day after the op many people say that the old staff is back and the biggest job they have is keeping them calm, till its time for the stitches to come out.
I'm sure Jedd will be no exception, and will be fighting fit in no time at all. All the best to him Maxine, and to you.
