Koko, Tizzy and now Roxy
Posted On 26/04/2009 17:48:14 by muttmobile

My name is Neil and I currently live with 3 Staffy's, Koko (dog 5yrs), Tizzy (bitch 3yrs) and Roxy (bitch 7 months).

All three of my mates are rescues.

Koko was found on the side of a busy dual carriageway when he was approx. 6 months old.

Tizzy was given to me when she was six months old by a young couple that had bought her as a trophy dog. Until she moved in with Koko and I, she had been constantly kept in a small cage during the day and rarely walked in the evening.

Roxy is Koko and Tizzy's new friend. Roxy has only been living with us for a couple of days, but has been going to the beach with us 2-3 days a week for the last six weeks.

A lovely young couple who saw Roxy beingbadly missed treated by it owner, decided to rescued her. Strong words were exchanged, dosh was immediately handed over and Roxy had a new home.

When I first met the new owners walking Roxy, she was all skin and bone, very nervous of other dogs and men. Six weeks later, Roxy is a different dog; she has put on body weight and is full ofbounce. Unfortunately, too much bounce for a couple expecting their first child living in an one bedroom flat with no garden.

After an awkward meeting where Roxy knocked over the visiting midwife, they were advised to re-home her.

Roxy is now living with us.

As the alpha dog/bitch, Tizzy’s was miffed at first and on the first night decided to pee on the sofa. When I told off Tizzy and put her in the sin bin (basket/bed) Roxy joined her, cuddled upwith her and went to sleep.

In the morning Koko, Tizzy and Roxy were all tightly cuddled up in the basket, off course; Tizzy was on top of the pile, being the dominant dog in the pack.

I initially took on Roxy temporarily, until I could find her a new home.

I have still not decided whether Roxy will be staying with us permanently, or moving onto a new home which would have to be very nearby so that that she could visit Koko & Tizzy nearly everyday.
