Star goes to the vets every week...they love her and she loves going..she just dont like the car ride and gets travel sick lol
Heya caroline, try giving her a few broken up bits of ginger nut biscuits 20 minutes or so before she gets in the car (I have heard also good for morning sickness) Leo used to get car sick every time as a baby, but tried these and he stopped being sick and started to like the car more and more. Hes 10months now and i dont have to do it anymore, actually was walking him the other day and someone was cleaning out the car with all the doors open and he wanted to hop in it! LOL he knows a car trip means he's going somewhere fun!
Hi Caroline. We're all good thanks. The Demodex came back big time on Leo so i took him back to the vet.She told me that she had just come back from America after going to a new drug seminar. She was so excited to tell me about a new treatment for Demodex called ProMeris Duo.She didn't have any in stock because it's so new and had just been lisenced in the uk but she would get in touch with the manufacturer(fort dodge) to see how soon she could get it for me. 2 days later i got the phone call to say that she had it and i couldn't wait to go and pick it up.Within 24 hours of the first treatment Leos skin was nowhere near as pink. All it is is a spot on treatment that you put on the back of the neck once a month, but i will say........it stinks!!!!! Probably 10 times worse than the Aludex. You need to keep the windows open for a few hours or better still, put it on outside.So....nomore smelly baths i hope. 1 thing i will say if you do get some is that it's not expensive because they are trying to compete with the Advocate. Also it doesn't say anything on the packaging about it being a treatment for Demodex. The vet did show me some before and after photo's of dogs that had been treated and they looked great. In America they have the same problem in their pitbull population and so many people swear by it.Maybe it's worth you having a word with your vet,but i will keep you posted. Good luck with the skin scrape. How's things with you???? Speak soon.Take care.Sam.X
Hahaha I just read your forum on being hand fed! have left a comment as I also had a problem with my pup who is now 13wks old. They certainly know how to manipulate at such a young age!!!
awww they are both stunning ....and where did u get that stafford statue/ornament u have near the window...I WANT ONE lol
Hi Caroline, lovely to hear from you hun. Thank you for the comments on my two terrors. My stafford ornament came from a little local shop that sold all sorts of lovely things, but sadly it closed down about 3 years ago now, so other than using google to try and track one down I'm unable to help you on that one - sorry hun. How is the battle with Demodex going, are you winning the battle? Hope you are all ok, speak soon, big hugs xx
