i'm 42yrs old, keen sub 3 marathon runner, married to jacquie with 2 kids a boy of 15 and a girl of 13. We have 2 staffies, saffie who is 4 1/2 yrs old and her son Archie who is 19mths old, both brindle although her litter included 2 perfect reds, 2 red and whits and a lovely white and black, the latter broke all our hearts when she left but we did not want to chance keeping 2 bitches together. We are now looking to Stud Archie within the next year and i hope that this site may help find suitable matches, they have great pedigrees from both sides so would be nice to carry them on.

Saffie( Saffron )

Archie

mummies teddy bear

saffron's warrior

Staffies, cant walk or run by one without stopping to say hello, running, football (west ham), moutain biking and cars

People who judge staffies and their owners without any effort to find out the facts, simply read and believe the rubbish printed in the papers.

hi helga, sorry to hear about your cat dying, how is the other one who's not well? i always will remember our old cat who died 2 years ago at the age of 20, she always terrorised our staff but Saffie never reacted, the last few hours that Beckie was alive, Saffie kept going over to her and gently licking her right uo till she died.

had to laugh at your comment re my fitness, the word "fit" seems to have become a naughty word, lol. but yes i try to do my bit. I run for the borough and am currently ranked 163 in the vets cattegory in G.B for the marathon with a pb of 2h55, althougg i race at all distances from 5km upwards from local to National Championship level, had a health scare recently, all clear now, which has meant i've had to ease off for 3 weeks, so it's al uphill now to get ready for the cross country season in october, AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH

Hope you, your family  and dogs are well and that your cat improves, shame your so far away, as we are looking to stud our dog, he's not blue but has fantastic shape and pedigree, and is a lovely chestnut / brindle.

Hi deb, we had 2 days in central Rome( incredible city) and then cruised the Med, ( Sicily, Athens, Kusadasi /Turkey and Crete) then back to Rome for 2 more days. Brilliant, we cruised the Eastern Carribbean last year (with Royal Caribbean then too,) absolutely fantastic. Not back at work till Monday, but i must have picked up a bug in rome before comming home and was really ill all day yest and mon night, seem to be ok now though. Whats been going on with you then, sounds serious, hope all well now? Love between our dogs, my niece and her boyfriend is mutual, they all adore each other so it does make going away less painfull for us and them, sounds like you got great kennels though, must be like a holiday for the dogs too. lol. Im off over the forest wityh my 2 now, luckily its right on the doorstep so i train over there every day and they explore it regularly too. xx   Oooo sounds like you had a fab time, I love greece and italy but not too keen on Turkey.  My fab place of all time is Barbados, nothing like the carribean for a good holiday, we went to grenada last year really nice but was not Barbados, so next year kids wanted to do florida, I have been there done that and cant think of spending two weeks standing in ques so we compromised with a week for them and a week for us, this will be our first cruise abroad the carnival glory its very much family orinated so the kids will have  a good time here too.  We are visting Bahamas, St Thomas, San Joun (Perto Rico) and Turks and Caicos.  Well my health, it started around March time really, I had my first ever tooth filling in January last year not bad for an oldy eh, well in March this year some of the fillin fell out and made my tongue sore as it had rubbed, had the filling replaced but the ucler on my tongue did not get better, when I went to the dentist at the beginning of June he said it was just a nasty ucler and not to worry yet my tongue started to get white marks, by the end of June and it was still not anywhere near getting better I went back as everything was pointing at signs of mouth cancer.  Anyway on that visit he referred me, 2 weeks to wait, I was so upset that I ended up paying private and saw my consultant that afternoon.  She said the condition was called lichen planus but would need a biopsy to confirm, this was done a week later and then 2 weeks before the results, finally it was confirmed and thinks it was brought on by me been alergic to amalgam fillings and should have had a patch test before I had the filling but on dentist ever does bit like hairdressers that dont patch test hair dyes.  Anyway I have had my new white filling put in and even though the condition will never go away it will be less painfully and noticible and im pleased to say it is already, just need to pay the bill now.  Well enough of my health, this is the first time ever in my life I have  been ill apart from odd cold or tummy upset so it was abit of a shock for me to deal with.  Sounds like you live in a really nice place having the forest so close, we have some good parks where our two go for their runs, but he weather has been so bad the last couple of days they would not go out and when they did they pulled to come home, so we have played with them on our garden instead inbetween the rain, we have a good sized garden so not so bad and they do keep each other amuzed too.  Well have a good run and speak soon Debi

hi debi, sorry to hear you not been well, glad your better now. Im just bac from hos so i not been on either, dogs been spoilt by my niece and her boyfriend staying at our house, great to see their faces when we come home though.

Hiya Chris, awww  I hope you had a great time, where did you go.  We arent going anywhere this year as we have booked another big holiday for next year, we are going to florida for 7 days and then on a western carribean cruise for 7 days and the cost of my consultant and biopsy have already cost us over 1000 pound so far.  Its nice that you have relatives that can come and look are your dogs, we will have to put ours in the kennels as we dont have anyone who could look after them, I wouldnt trust my nephew he is not sensible enough and the other 3 works away from home.  The kennel we use are very good have just had a refur with underfloor heating and they are both taken for walks and off lead run in the farmers fields as the kennel is out in derbyshire.  Well hope you have settled back into reality and your back at work, take care Debix

Hi Chris funny you should say about the old ones, the other day when i was driving past the park i saw an old lady coming out the park gates with a massive staffie it was huge fab shape and very well toned, she was very old with a walking stick, it made my day to see this they were obviously very intune with each other you could tell just by the way the staffie was walking by her side.  Well we about the say age so we understand the nutters that are causing the problems.  Speak soon Debi

Hi Chris, ahhh thanks for the comment. Yes Mirabelle is a little sweetie, she comes from a good line too. Unfortunately, we had her speyed a while ago so would not be able to help you out. Sorry  I'm still not sure we did the right thing really but some of the dogs around here were very interested indeed. One was a huge Labradoodle so you can imagine trying to fight that thing off was no easy feat. lol He's turned out to be a good friend of Belles now so all worked out for the best in the end. ha ha Your dogs look lovely. We live in Essex too!.  Speak soon Lucie and Belle xx

sorry debi, my name is chris and im male. nice to hear from you, i always say that my 2 have got more love in their tails than most people have got in their bodies. one experience which keeps cropping up is when old people come up to make fuss of the dogs, i always tell them that they wont hurt them but might jump up and are very strong, always the same reply............oh their alright my son or my daughter, cousin, niece or some relation or other, has got one of these, they're marvellous dogs, always so happy and pleased to see you.and great with the kids- it appears the oldens know a good thing when they see it! lol tlk soon, Chris
