Staffyclub Changes Since August
It’s been a hectic week. We recently announced that we were selling our sister site Staffybullterriers.com and since then there has been a migration of members from there to here. This has resulted in over 200 members joining Staffyclub this week.
If the sister site doesn’t sell there will be 100s more visitors coming here everyday. If it does sell I will use at least a portion of that money to enhance Staffyclub even more. So, come what may, we’re gonna see some great things ahead for this club.
We’ve brought over the staff from Staffybullterriers.com to help our Julie(Soverenstaff). I am thankful for them all for the work they do, voluntarily and often times a thankless job.
We used to have a member of staff called Donal. The last I heard he was selling camel rides in Dubai      - or something like that…lol
The last time I posted any detailed news on the site was August and since then I’ve added quite a few changes. Of the ones I can remember there is the Userbar function which can be accessed from the link at the bottom of the site. This allows you to create custom banners to be used here and on other sites. I would hope that members would use their bars in other forums - if the rules there permit it.
I’ve also added a member activity function which was again upgraded this week. The recent upgrade makes the feed much more user friendly allowing Gold and VIP members to comment and interact from within the feed itself rather than having to click through to the members site.
Our forum was also upgraded a few months ago. The greatest thing about this forum is the speed that it should load at. It has been optimised to be very fast loading which includes not loading loads of images in each post. Basically the original poster will see their signature file but most other images won’t load, just the text of the post for easier reading. It means that member’s won’t have to scroll past loads of images to get to the content. The forum should be due another major upgrade within a couple of months.
We also upgraded the polls section a while ago which allows you to create polls with images and some other useful tools. I found the original Poll function boring so I jumped at the chance to purchase this new upgrade for the club.
We’ve just announced our Christmas competition last night and we’re deleighted to reveal that there will be great prizes for our first xmas contest. The closing date for the competition is this Tues 9th December. You can add you entry at the link below:
Add Your Christmas Competition Entry Here
There’ll also be a competition announced soon over at our other forum. So those of you who are member there will have another opportunity to grab some prizes. The theme for the two sites will be different. So, ‘no, you can’t submit the same photos’Â
Staffyclub is growing fast, we’ve almost 2000 members, which we will exceed over the next week. I expect from now on in we’ll be signing up at least 20 members per day. That’s a lot of people and many more Staffies every month. My aim is to help you all interact as easily as possible, to further the Staffordshire Bull Terrier community and breed.
I would ask you all to please understand that you will never all agree, but there’s enough space in this club for everyone AND if you want to you can create your own little corner through our Groups section where people of similar thinking can gather. Sone are already doing this.
In closing I would once again like to thank ALL our members who make this club what it is today.
We are here to serve this community.
