hi di. hope you are well, looking foward to weekend, i still have this rotten cold, almost a week now, and still feeling no better, maybe its because im getting old!  this thing with snails is a worry just come back from my mum & dads house, when i told my mum about it she got a plastic bag went round the garden like a bloody mad woman and collected all the snails she could find, which was quite a few bearing in mind the weather, honestly she is such a worrier, but at least i got a giggle out of it, especially with skye just following her around in the hope my mum may be a bit careless with the bag.
if i were you hun i would be a bit worried about not giving lilia tablets as well,
i am certainly going to ask brian (vet) when i take skye for 9mth check as he prescribed advocate and miramax on the same day, i find this really odd why would one vet give both and another only the one?
take care hun spk soon, chantalx
Hi Chantal, this weekend could be fun we've got the Piddlehinton Village Fete including dog show! Big event for us yokels! I havent been to one before and ive been here 8 years so i think we will grace them with our prescence! Dont even talk about getting old! Yesterday i had my hair chemically straightened and went back to work today and the majoirty of the lads and the boss all said how nice it looked. I was starting to think there was some kind of 'keep the old gal happy' conspiracy going on. Then one lad had to spoil it. He said it makes you look younger (always a good thing) then he said at least two years younger! Didnt quite turn out the compliment i was building up for! Its horrible when you get a stupid cold and cant shift it - it wears you out doesnt it. Your mum - what a sweetie - That made me laugh out loud. There are so many snails and slugs about this year my garden is full of them - yuk. Yesterday after id been to the hairdressers i  came home and slipped into my bikini for a spot of sunbathing. Done the obvious thing (fell asleep) only to be rudely awoken by lilia dropping a half chewed snail on my back - that made me squeal i can tell you! I will have to ask the vet if advocate covers everything looking at the packet i would have to say that i think it does but i will make a phone call tomorrow to be sure. Gonna have to toodle off now Lilias in a very strange mood today and is upstairs with me driving me insane by trying to chew cables, clothes, etc and farting a lot. Nice to hear from you.Take care. Di xx

Hi Chantal-hope skye is ok now with her ear-poor baby. Alex has been in with the  big boss today and she has not had a good day with him. She said all day hes had a face like sh*t on him-testing her and then complaining because she missed one thing out of the drawer that she couldnt name-she said hes really abrupt all the time and he dropped a mirror on the floor and then Alexs trainer dropped an instrument and he told her off in front of the patient-saying can you not keep dropping stuff please.
He is going to test her again tomorrow and of course in the rush she has forgotten her book so is stressing a bit about tomorrow. I asked her what the other dentists were like and she said they are all arses apart from one nice one who is leaving to go to another practice-perhaps he hates all the other dentists too.
Alexs trainer just said to ignore their arrogant behaviour but Alex was saying another girl who is also a trainer is leaving already after a year because of the obnoxious dentists there and apparently one of them made a girl cry.
is this what dentists are like or is Alex just unlucky. Do you have any tips for coping with people like this. I always have said something to people if I find their attitude to be like that but im not sure what to advise her. I just said if you can at least get through the training you can then always leave and find another job.
I just feel so sorry for her because she was on such a high when she got this job and I dont want her to be dreading work every day.I cant understand people being like that-its certainlly not the way to gat the best out of your staff-nor how to keep them working for you.
Look forward to hearing from you hun. xxxxx

Hi Lynne,
good to hear from you too hun, i really feel for you, when we collected skye we were told that the papers had not come through yet?  and that they would post them on to us, i had seen mums KC reg and copy of dads when we went to view skye, i must admit alarm bells started ringing and i was a little concerned as i always wanted a bitch and wanted her to have 1 litter, and like you wouldn't do it unless she was KC reg, we were lucky and papers did arrive about 10days later, but i must admit it was a bit of a worry. you go girl email them and get it of your chest, but don't hold your breath for a response because i very much doubt you will get one, they only care about the money by the soiunds of it and they have that now. i wouldn't mind but blue staffies don't come cheap do they?
i am sick at the moment, have a sore throat, cold and awfull headache, dont know where it came from as everyone else is fine. skye is doing ok although antibiotics seem to be playing havoc with her tummy, she nerver f**rts but she has been letting some belters go last couple of days silent & violent type where you have to leave the room. girls are good mind you i hardly see them, especially at the weekend laken was babysitting last night so she stays over and kayleigh went to a friends b-day party and has also stayed over, so i expect i won't see them until this evening.
heard you had a plumber out to you recentley, shame we were not closer as carl is a plumber, hope you got it sorted out.
A big WELL DONE to sophie on coming 1st in the long jump, it must have really made your day!!
take care hun, spk soon love chantal xxx

Hi Chantal, you're not wrong, we paid £650 for her, I did think it was a bit cheap for a KC reg bitch, thought we'd dropped on a bargain! Aww sorry to hear you are not feeling to good, hope you are back to your old self before to long hun. Gosh you are lucky to have a staffie that dont f*rts! Ours used to be terrors for it, till I changed their diet!! They still do it but nowhere as much as they did! Yes we had to get a plumber, luckily a friends hubby is a plumber and he came and sorted us out - the loo which usually fills very, very quickly was taking an hour to fill, which meant we had to fill buckets and flush that way! It turned out to be a washer! My hubby is absolutely useless when it comes to painting, decorating, DIY or fixing things!!
Well hun thats about all my news, hope you feel better real soon, speak soon hun xx

hi di,
sorry not been in touch hun, have a nasty cold & sore throat, don't know where it came from but it hit me like a ton of bricks!
so you finally gave in, temptation got the better of you, since the grass seed thing and then me becoming ill skye & i have slept on the sofa together, i dont like to disturb carl with me sniffling & sneezing all night as he had to go to work and i didn't, but i think skye is getting far to used to it, mind you so am i. what is it with socks, this is the one thing skye still chews.
OMG rick astley-no theres a blast from the past!! sorry got totally sidetracked?
skye is so much better now, but antibiotics seem to be playing havoc with her tummy, she doesn't usually f**t but has been letting some real belters go the silent & violent type where you have to evacuate the room, 1 problem skye follows us around and so does the awfull stench!!
just realized your a sagitarius, well so am i my b-day is 10th december,
when is yours? iknow our profile page says virgo but that is carl.
sorry to hear about the way that you were treated a your vets surgery, some of these vets seem to have no passion, like emergency vet that we see the other night was almost matron like, very stern and i really didn't like it neither did skye! but your right we are lucky to have brian and i think skye will be fine with him when you go back in 1mth for her 9mth check, when she came around properly after gas, brian had stepped out of room and when he returned she run up to him wagging her tail and peeing all over the floor.
by the way how are lilia's feet doing?
hope you had a good weekend,  chantalx
Hi Chantal, sorry to hear you are so poorly the only good thing is you get to snuggle up with the lovely Skye. This morning lilia got a toilet roll out of the bathroom and my bedroom looks like a bombs hit it now! I did leave her in the kitchen last night but 3 oclock she started so i just let her up i gotta get some sleep! Your lucky if skye doesnt fart lilias like it all the time especially if she jumps up which makes it quite embarrassing when people come round! My birthday is the 13th of December (the date explains a lot i think luckily i was born on a Sunday not a Friday!). The 10th is my Mum & Dads wedding anniversary! Lilias feet are a lot better ive been careful where i walk her and been using the oil mix - thank god.  Its good to hear Skye is back to normal even if your purse isnt. Ive got a day off tomorrow and am going out shopping with mum and no doubt will spend a fortune on Lady Lilia and nowt on myself! Am going to pop into our vets on the way home and get her weighed - shes turning into a right lump! Glad your enjoyed my eclectic selection of music! Thats the music of my life! Tee hee.  Take care and its nice to hear from you. Di x
