Leo was the same, really good for months, then all of a sudden we had a few accidents within a couple of weeks, I just went back to basics as Muze said and it fizzed out quick. Think they just like to try it on you sometimes when they are young, to see how much they can push their position in the pack.

I also used to put Leo outside after i found an accident, didnt say anything just pick him up and put him outside, then clean up the mess while he wasnt able to watch. As i have heard it can become a bit of a game too, like a child throwing food from their highchair, i make the mess and watch you fuss after me game.

I've said this loads of times and it is no way a critisism - just an observation as to what happened with us.

Cairo was toilet trained very quickly but then started having accidents and having a think about it, we realised that we had actually become a bit complacent in taking him out for the toilet, therefore he wasn't out as regularly as when we were training, so he had accidents.

It's something to think about.  Now that he's dry do you think that maybe you're not taking him out quite as often (or as quickly!!).

Even though they're learning to hold onto their bladder/bowels, pups still only have little bladders and not full bowel control so they still need to be taken out frequently.  As they get older, they will be able to last longer.

You might find when pup is teething that toilet training regresses a bit as well - I'm not sure why but it's like babies getting sore bums when they teeth.  In this situation, it's back to basics again.
