OMG what a lovely man to stop and help Sam the koala and how much she trusted him and held his hand, its very heart warming to see that amongst terror in the fires that this fireman spared some time to help the animals that cant ask for it themselves.A really lovely sight.

Aww Paola-we can only imagine the terror people must be feeling there. It is terrible that people living in Australia and knowing how rapidly fire can spread could delibrately set fire to brush and kill all those innocent people and animals-its beyond comprehension. We are all thinking of you here and hope this is over for you soon. Love to you hunni. xxxxx

Think we all agree. Its amazing what people can do when they all pull together for the rescues... I got sent this I hope you don't mind me putting it here- it made me smile and I know Aussies are not easily knocked down and would proably like something to smile about.

Here's another heartwarming piccy of a koala taking a drink, granted not by the fire, but in the heatwave. Julie sent this to me and I know she wont mind me sharing it. Thank god she is safe, she was only an hour away from the fire at one time and after seeing the pic that Paola posted, I can imagine how frightening that must have been.
