Just got back from the vets this afternoon where Blue had his 4th Aludex bath. He saw the vet before hand where they took a few scrapings to see if there was any mites. The vet said he was all clear, we have to go back in a months time for another scrapping just to be double sure.

So glad for you both. We've been there, got the t shirt and so on so i know how distressing it is. I bet you are over the moon no more smelly baths. Hope all goes well on the next vets visit.

We are lucky as our vets give us the Aludex so we can do it at home and has said another skin scrape in a months time we have to treat every 5-7 day and until then. I'm just glad that we don't have to pay the vets to do it as it costs us £18 a shot as it is, but would pay if I had to.

Scarlet is pretty much clear now and I'm prob going to go back to the vets early and ask for a skin scrape so we can stop doing it. Then I'm gonna start treating with combi treatment as it's gonna be easier to keep under control.

Thanks for all the support guys - It looks as though we are all beating these dreaded mites!!

We still have nearly a bottle of Aludex left so I am going to continue to give Blue a few more baths at home just to be on the safe side.
