Davo is a Staffie/Mastiff Cross, male, approximately 12 months old. He is tan in colour with a black mask and is medium in size. Bless him, he's really friendly and submissive and lies on his back for tummy tickles. He gives lovely kisses and is good with other dogs!
He's gorgeous, big and strong but what a softie. He is very very thin and full of cuts and scars, probably from another dog which you would think would make him funny with other dogs but oh no Nelson was visiting the vet too and all Davo could do was give him big sloppy kisses................on the lips!! Davo needs a special home with people who understand dogs like him, are you that special person who Davo can love forever?
Davo has been neutered, vaccinated and assessed by Rochdale Dog Rescue.
We do not rehome to families with children under 7 years of age. |

Update on Davo by the volunteer who transported him.
As I start to write about Davo, tears make me choke up! He is the softest friendliest dog you can imagine. He gently snuffles at your hand and licks your face (given the chance). His wounds are dreadful and Sarah said that some of them are very deep indeed. I have never seen a dog in that state before and no punishment is severe enough for the people who seemed to have used him as a bait dog.
He loves people and other dogs too, which is amazing given what he looks to have been through.
****** thinks he is too small for a mastiff cross and he needs some feeding up.
He did blot his perfect copybook though. He carefully moved the famous carpet to one end of the crate - then did the longest, smelliest wee you can imagine and then thoughtfully placed the carpet back on top of it to soak it all up! Eeww!

Davo has now been moved to a rescue and there is interest in him already. Hopefully the homecheck will go well.

The resilience and forgiveness that dogs show us is truly inspiring and to see such a beautiful gentle fella like him covered in scars breaks my heart. His wonderful character has shone through and no wonder the person couldnt let him go-he is a dog in a million. May the rest of his life be one filled with love and fun-he really deserves it. xxx
