Random post I know, but I am soon moving from a 2 bedroom house, into a 1 bedroom flat (reasons being I can no longer afford the house in the current financial climate on my own). |

If she is already house trained then that's great... you'll just have to show her where her "toilet" is and watch out when she is looking like she needs to go. It's obviously a lot more difficult in flats as you can't just open a door and let them out, but they get the idea after a while.... if i can manage it with three dogs, it'll probably be no problem with one :)

Well when i got jake my Bobby my 2 dogs when i moved out of home into a 1 bed flat i soon got them into a routine of going to the toilet on the small garden behind my flat so my advice is to find a place close to you new home and make that the toilet place so you can pop out last thing at night,im sure your dog will love the fact that its far more cosey being smaller and theres less space for you to be away from her.Good luck with the move and im sure Star will settle in in no time.

when I got my 1st dog I was in a flat, we did not have even a communal garden, we took her to the nearest park 3x a day and she soon got used to it tho we had to jog sometimes! Now I think we've got really lazy having a house n' garden. She might have a few accidents just act like you're houestraining again she'll get there.

She won't find it a problem - I have moved with Ronnie 3 times and Ruby twice, they have settled in immediately and as long as they're house trained they will just toilet when and where you want them to really... or maybe that's just me having been lucky?
