Hello all, i'm new here so be gentle. I just thought i'd introduce myself.

I owned two English Bull Terriers (hope that doesn't count against me?) from the age of 16 and had my boy Ben put to sleep on 13th October last year aged 15, just over a year after my girl Molly. I love the breed. They were brilliant with everyone, dogs and cats inc. I walked them all over the mountains and forestries around me and they never gave me a moments trouble.

I'm not in a position to get another dog just yet, but i've decided that i'd like a staffie next, just as a change. I've always loved the breed and i've joined here to gain a bit more understanding about them. I assume they're generally similar in character to the EBT, who are real characters!

I'm really looking forward to reading, understanding and learning a bit more about the breed.

Thanks.

Hi and welcome. I have had a variety of dogs over the years fom rough collies when I was a child to Rotties and Dobes as an adult. I have a husky and up until 2 years ago my beloved rottie/shep cross. He had to be PTS as he had cancer.

My family have wanted a staffy for ages but I said no and really fancied an English Bull Terrier but gave in and have had Tasha my staffy for almost a year now.

I have to admit I was wrong and Tasha is the love of my life.

Hi and welcome,
you have made a great choice, they are wonderful dogs,

Its great that you have taken time to find out about the breed before you get one, I wish everyone was the same.

They are a fabulous breed of dog, full of love, but sometimes you will need patients, love and understanding because there is never a dull moment with them, they are proper clowns,
With a bit of care and training you will have the most loyal and loving friend you could ever wish for.
Good luck
