Over the past week or so Jaii has suddenly become agressive not toward dogs but towards human

A few days ago she snapped at me after being told to sit down which i hav her doing on command with the sit movement there was no growling before hand
just after this she growled really agressively after being told to get down off the sofa

also today when I was at work she bit my dad while has was trying to put her in time out for jumping at my young cousin
and about half and hour ago she snapped at my and my brother for no appartant reason shes also snapped at me a few times when ive walk past her

I really dont have a clue what to do with this sudden change in behaviour as Jaiis my first dog

so it would be gr8 if any one could give me a few pointer

Maybe a vets check up is needed to rule out health issues, it is possible she is ill, if she is doing these things and has never done that before.

Hi,well i agree that maybe a check up at the vets will rule out any illness or cuts etc.My first dog was a rough collie "like Lassie" and he attacked me for no reason "so i thought" and on a vet check it was foud he had wet excema under his long coat which was sore so its always best rule out any medical reason and if nothing is found then maybe a chat to an animal behaviourist as this is a sudden cjange in behaviour.Good luck and keep us posted.x

i agree with aldersparker i think she needs to be checked by a vet as she may have something wrong health wise.
does she go in the backyard by herself? maybe someone has been teasing her? as in a stranger?
am i correct that you got her as a rescue (sorry if i am thinking of someone else) but if thats the case maybe your voice pitch or something may be reminding her of her previous owner.
if the vet rules out anything health wise maybe an animal behaviorist?
please keep us updated.

Hi Guys Thanks For Answering I Will Take Her To The Vet On Tuesday :d x

Kelbelle She Is Never In The Back Garden As It A Shared One And I Dnt Want The Neighbours Complaining :d x
Your Right She Is A Rescue I Never Enven Thought On Something Being A Trigger From A Bad Memory Bt As Most Of The Times Shes Dune This Nothing Has Been happening I Dnt Think It Will Be This

Today She Was Attacked By A Westie While Out With My Mum And She Nedver Even Batted An Eyelid She Jst Stood There And Took It So Am Inagining That Would Slightly Rule Out DA

Will Keep Yous Posted With What The Vet Says When She Go's :d x

Its all very strange, how long have you had her?

How old is she? She may be testing boundaries.
The fact that she got attacked today though makes it sound as though something is bothering her as other dogs will often attack an unbalanced dog - has she been attacked by other dogs in the past?
I would advise being careful with her around Westies in the future as staffies have long memories and often will remember the breed of dog that has attacked them in the past and can become DA to just that breed (that's what Kali's dad was like).
I agree with others that a trip to the vet is best and then definitely an animal behavourist ASAP as aggression toward humans is pretty worrying.
Good luck and i hope she is ok

HI adlersparker I've had her for just under a year

kalistaff - shes approximately 15months as shes came to me when she was supposed to be 12 weeks bt we're not entirely sure about this
this was the 1st time shes ever been attacked by a dog of any breed
she is never in contact with any Westies this was a dog that was walking along my road and attacked a lady who petted it and then ran across the road and attacked Jaii
I'm taking her to the vet 1st thing 2morro morning and will see what they say and will take it form there xx

Hi Mattie Thansk For Answering I Had Her At The Vet On Wednsday And She Has Slight Ear Infection Which They Have Said Could Be The Cause For The Aggression And Have Given Her Ear Drops And Told Me To See If Anything Happens Again
If It Does Then I Will Be Goin Down The Road Of A Behaviourist :d x
