jedd is 9 months old now and seems to thin to me .i had him done in march and the vet said he was a little on the slim side not only can you feel his ribs you can really see them, but not to change his diet as having him done might help him gain weight but it didn't help.i now have him on jwb junior twice a day ,chicken and carrots  once a week and scrambled egg once a week but he still looks under weight .should i feed him a 3rd meal .if i was to see him in the street i would think he wasn't looked after right .can anybody suggest something to help him gain weight ,thank you

What weight is he, and what age do jwb suggest changing to adult food? If he is so thin, I would personally give him 3 meals a day, did you vet think he was underweight.?

just wondering has he been recently wormed? has the vet taken blood check his thyriod ect then again he can have a high metabolic rate just like us two folk can eat the same amount and have different weight  gains but still a baby dont think getting him castrated will help as in males testosarone in males makes them more muscular

he's up to date with his worming .the vet said that having him done might see a weight gain as she said "he's slightly underweight"

does he get a lot of exercise?? could be working it off?? personaly i never go down the so many meals a day thing i just fill the bowl and monitor how much is being eaten, wont hurt if you give him more food, its one thing they are good at{eating} just like us i suppose if you see yourself putting on a few pounds cut down and do more exercise or vice versa...

I normally don't bother how thin  young staffy looks, but look weight and coat, and their general movement.

How does he move about, is he active and seems himself to you?
 How much does he weight?
Does he look shiny and is his eye look lively not dull lazy looking?

9 months is still young and as long as you are feeding him good quality food as recommended, I would let him grow like that till at least 12 months. I might add some glucosamine or calcium to let bone grow strong .

if you just concentrate to dogs weight other than individual dog's growing balance ( adding weight before the bone and muscle structure) might cause problem on their legs and joints.

Is he a very energetic boy that doesnt stop? if so hes probably burning up the food really fast. Does he always eat his food? or is he fussy and not eating all.
