I knew my Poppy loves water and she can pick  her toys from the bottom of deep bucket with full of water.

But I was amazed this morning when I took Sasha and Poppy to the lake near us, and both of them got in the water, then I witnessed poppy went straight to the depth her shoulder and put her head completely under the water and walking!!! she seems able to do at least 5-6 steps at the time. I saw her eyes were open as she was walking.

................is she from Atlantis ?? Is it common for staffy? I just never know any other staffs put their head under the water.

My other 2 loves water as well but never put their head completely under the water... they do put their muzzles in the water but not to the top of head ( ears included..) I'm still in mild shock  to be honest.

I quickly tried take the video off my mobile but I was too late but I do try to take video of it.

Amber puts her head right under the water as does Jasmine-but Amber wont go any deeper than her chest-if her feet leave the bottom-she doesnt like it and comes back to the side. I can only imagine in this heat it must feel so good to them.

aww bless her heart.  it makes me laugh how they try goes deeper and don't swim back but jump to come back to the side.  I know they can swim but I don't like they goes to any deeper though as they aren't that excellent swimmer. I was thinking to get dog's life jacket just to make sure they can have water fun safely.

I was thinking to take dogs there again- but seems they cannot have their walkies today as my younger son has got  fever since last night with soar throat, he's having off school today.  bless him.

Yeah they are funny-Jas is a good swimmer-she will chase ducks on the water  despite me screaming at her but Amber is just like a little tank in the water-she is a fairly good swimmer but I do panic when I think shes going too far out-but she never does.
Hope your son is feeling better soon-poor lad. x

 Thanks cazrob and yasmin,
I just checked my boy again he still got a mild fever 37.4, but these small rush appearing to his body neck down.. he did have MMR vaccination and other than his fever he's quite well himself and just had breakfast.

I phoned my GP up to see what I should do, just keep him in as he doesn't appear to be that ill, keep giving him paracetamol , or, should take him to see doctor.

I'm just waiting the doctors phone call at the moment

Hope your boy is ok Gaea.
Isnt it funny how some of them will go under water like that.
I must admit I was a bit suprised with kai in the river, she hates water, rain puddles, will always step round them, but on the river she walks in no problem up to her shoulders, doesnt put her head in though. She walked into meet a swan the other day, I think she thought it was a dog, she seemed to want to play. I panicked and made her come out, i thought the swan may attack her, thats all I need her thinking ducks and swans may get her too, she is so tempermental.
Its quite unusual all your like water, they must be water babies

 Thanks adlersperker,

Yes my boy is alright, he's got apatite and other than rash and fever he's fully himself. ( and a bit of soar throat)

According to the doctor sounds like mild case of Rubella, which I thought it might be. That's the main reason I didn't want to take him to doctors if it is Rubella I don't want any contact to pregnant women or young kids who didn't have MMR jabs.
The doctor didn't see his rash just I described how it look like so might be not Rubella, but don't want to risk giving someone do you.

seems I have to keep him in rest of the week and  goodness me he's already whining and whinging he's so bored without his friends.

Aren't the staffys are funny with water.  As mine love to be in the water they hates rain. Come to think about it they might don't like the feeling the rain drop on their fur. its like constant tapping isn't it. bless them.
