Hi all Hope you can help, my 8 month old staffy has started using my partners legs as a seat . This is how it goes, he sits with his legs outstretched, she goes over to him turns her back on him and staddles both his ankles and sits herself down. Any one know why? she has suddenly statrted with this strange behaviour. My partner isn't at all impressed. He has been pushing her away with a firm NO but she doesn't really take much notice. Help |

me again some of what i wrote didnt go on so here is the rest...lol.. she could also be looking for attention from him. And depending on what she is doing before the sit she may think he is at the bottom of the pack so sitting on him is just letting him know that she is above him. but i think its what i wrote in the first post. so you can get the foot stool and it will all be sorted |

HI,WELL STAFFYS DO LIKE TO BE AS CLOSE TO THEIR OWNERS AS POSSIBLE AND SHES JUST BEING PUSHY AND WANTING ALL YOUR HUSBANDS ATTENTION,I HAVE 4 STAFFS AND THEY ARE ALLOWED TO COME IN THE LIVING ROOM TO SIT ON THE SOFA AT 9PM EVERY NIGHT SO MAYBE YOU COULD ALLOW HER A SEAT OF HER OWN WITH A BLANKET ON IT,IF YOU PREFERE TO KEEP HER ON THE FLOOR THEN MAYBE GET HER TO SIT BESIDES YOUR FELLAS FEET SO HE CAN STROKE HER HEAD.HOPE THIS HELPS.LISA.X

Hi Percy
Thanks for the reply, sitting on the furniture isn't an option as I don't want her taking over when she is full grown. But I will move her bed so that she can be nearer to him, she may give me a break for a while lol. Many thanks Chrissy & Sheera
