is anyones stafford suffering with the heatwave hitting the uk at the moment ? Star is making the most of the river near where we live..previously didnt like water..now she loves it lol..seriously though...this heat is not doing her any favours...means early early morning walks when its still cool..and late evening when the sun is going down..even getting remotely excited out the garden is doing her in at the moment !!

Hi folks,
Heatstroke is not the only one to watch out for with our precious ones, sunburn is also a real danger for them. With them having such short coats, especially the ones with white fur or skin conditions. I used my niece's factor 50 sun block on Sasha's ears and nose the other day when we took her out, it's hypo-allergetic(excuse the spelling) so didn't react with her skin. I resisted the temptation to use her colour stick sun block though and have a green and white dog lol Does anyone know if there is such a thing as dog sun cream or do I just keep using what I have?? |

My girl is hating this heat, she will not go out in it, only in early morning around 6:00 when its cooler and late at night. she walk around moving into a btter position all day, poor girl, dont know how these dogs cope in hot countries.
No I dont think there is a dog sun tan, mine loves to get sun tan on her for some strange reason. She gets a very high factor for kids

Eddi loves to sunbathe and when he gets too hot he jumps in the paddling pool and lays down, he also didnt like the water until about a week ago now when we walk along the river he is straight in, makes a big deal about accidentally on purpose dropping his ball in so he can go get it out lol funniest thing.

I use "sensitive skin/ for babies/no tears" sun cream should be safe I would think, also was on 2 for 1 offer, 1 for the kids 1 for the dog, lol.

And there was me thinking I had come up with an idea nobody else had thought of lol Nah for now I'm happy enough to use the bottle I bought for my niece (she doesn't need it), Sasha loves having it rubbed on, just like the Sudocream on her tummy and legs after running through long wet grass, she lies there like a wee baby on her back and lets us rub cream all over her lol |
