mine has
a high quality additive free food, usually a few mixed together, at the moment its pedigree better by nature mixed with science plan sensitive skin and burns. he has 1 1/2 cups per day and every few days he has a raw egg mixed in. this is split into 2 meals.
he has 2htp tablets per day, a fish oil tablet, 2 apple cider vinager tablets, and some dog conditioning tablets. these are hidden in 7 natures menu barf nuggets every day.
he has a tin of sardines in tomato sauce once per week . he also has a dentastix everyday and usually a stick of dried tripe in the evening.
how about you guys? |

Jez can be really fussy. She used to love those nuggets, but now won't touch them. 7 a day on top of his normal food seems a lot to me though. Currently Jez is on a combination of (mainly) raw chicken wings (2-3 per day), the occasional tin of Tesco Finest dog food (small dog type), and some Arden Grange. She gets the occasional bone. Sometimes I give her a raw carrot to chew, but she won't touch any other fruit & veg, even though I tried to get her used to it from a young age. Every now and then she has a can of tuna. Cos of her Knee she has Glucosamine & Perna tablets daily, together with her anti-inflammatories - helped down with a dollop of Peanut butter. Plus a daily Dentastick. Then there's her treats, of course. I try to buy the better stuff now: Wainwrights Small Breed treats, Wainwrights Bakes, Arden Grange chicken treats, and Burns Ocean Bites. And Peanut Butter - she loves Peanut butter.
What a mixture, eh? |

molly is just turned 1, but she has been on jwb since i got her! wouldnt dream of changing! she gets about 350grms a day split in 2 meals! normally fed dry, but sometimes wet it down!
i have been extremely reluctant to give her "human" food at all! dentastix give her soft poo! as do pigs ears if she has too many! she gets the usual markie biscuits now and again! but to be honest i normally treat her with bits of her normal kibble! wanted to ask about feeding meats, eggs, oils etc??????????? |

Lola is only on one meal a day even though she is only 8 months - she just stopped eating her breakfast weeks ago. I always mix her JWB with Staffy Oil and then chicken (three times a week), liver (twice a week) or Mackerel in sunflower oil (twice a week). Her treats are: pigs ears, rawhide chews and Bonio puppy milk biscuits (oh and a bag of cheese puffs whenever she visits Grandad - he's done that since she was little and she loves them so much that she always runs to show him where they are when she arrives). She also loves cucumber, raw cabbage and raw sprouts - so much so that she nearly wets herself with excitement every time I open the salad drawer

Ebs and Tia get auturky holistic kibble, and protein wise they get tripe and minced beef on alternate days they also get a carrot and 1/2 apple each day to munch on and twice a week they get some sardines in oil. Treats they get are a pigs ear once a week and a few dental chews a week.

Ty has JWB for breakfast and JWB with 1/3 nature diet or sardines on the 4th day for tea. He has glucosamine and green lipped muscle supplements everyday aswell. For treats he has carrots, banana, cheesy paws, apple & cinnamon biscuits... what ever's going at the time, he's not fussy at all

As you know ive been asking a few questions about the BARF diet. When do you feed your dried food and when do you feed your tripe and minced beef? Do you give dried in the morning and meat at night? Or mixed together? Is your meat raw or cooked? Cheers Gaz |

I was told by someone not to mix dry and wet foods becuase apparently they are digested at different rates and can cause tummy ache and the runs.
As regards the meat with this diet it is given raw-you can get tripe, beef, lamb ,chicken and white fish frozen at Pets at Home-and you just defrost and use it like that. Hope this helps. xx
