Hi. I'm Mally from Perkinsville, County Durham. I'm married with one son, and 2 lovely SBT's. We've had a few dogs in our 8 years together.
We started with a male Bull Terrier in 2000, called Jack,  just after we got married. Within a year we bought ourselves a female BT that we called Meggan. The year after we got our 1st SBT that we called Sidney. Soon after Sid came along Jack became poorly and we had to make the decision to get him put to sleep.
Not long after we bought another SBT that we named Lily, who became best of friends with Sidney.
Our son came along in March '07, but the 2 SBT's didn't like the way that Meggan was very close to him ('in his face'.... just being overly nosey) and were getting grumbly with her. Good friends of my wife's parents were looking for a Bull Terrier to rehome and fell in love with Meggan and gave her a home where she is spoiled rotten. We still get to see Meggan quite often which is nice.
Sidney was diagnosed with cancer of the lymph nodes in December '06 and she bravely fought the cancer and took every possible treatment without flinching right up until September '08 when her options ran out and we had to make that dreadful decision once again. Sidney was the best companion anyone could have asked for and will always be missed.
Dropping down to one dog hurt a lot, even Lily was lost. So last month we started to look again. We looked in a few rehoming centres, but i'm always scared incase we were to chose a dog with some hidden past which might mean our son, or even Lily gets harmed.
So, along came Lucy. A beautiful red and white girl. Since we bought Sidney i've always loved the reds, so i couldn't look for anything else.
Lily and Lucy are just starting to get on. Lily spent the first week avoiding Lucy, but now really enjoys a bit of rough and tumble and has recently started to get her appetite back after losing Sidney.

Thanks for reading. I'll post some pictures up of the girls in the 'My staffies name is' section soon.

Awww, your family has had such a bad run of luck in such a short time with the dogs. Lucy is a gorgeous shade of red and I can't wait for you to have a gallery up so I can take a look. Here's wishing you all luck with the girls and congrats on having a new son.
