Thanks for the words of comfort. You read all sorts of things about wrong diet, hygiene and general well being that you feel that you've some how let your dog down. Its heartbreaking when you've done everything possible to look after the baby. I've even been told i'm being too soft and treating her like a baby. I do appreciate your comments and I have to seen the vet in the morning so i'll ask about that treatment. Any idea how long it takes to go? The patch on her chin and side of her eye is recovering on their own but she has a small patch on her elbow, back leg and on her side.
Hi I noticed your comment about the number of letters/spaces having gone up to 30 by the ANKC ruling on the "name my puppy" thing. Glad I wasn't the only one who saw the notice, what 3 or 4 months ago or was it even longer? It was originally passed by ANKC back in 2000/2001 conference but they didn't bother to upgrade the software on the computers until this year. Only a bit slow lol thank god DNSW got off their butts & finally gave it to all the states to upgrade their stuff . I did comment to sovernstaff about it but she told me basically I was wrong ........... funny about that as my last litter has been registered with over 24 letters in their names, one has 29! And they came back accepted. Makes it fun to name the pups when you have more to play with, I can remember when we all got excited that the ANKC raised the number to 24 from what it was before that. Still think the best name I have ever heard for a dog is Figjam (go work it out if you don't know what it stands for LOL), will name one that one day when I get a pup that it suits. Yes have been in the "dog world" & a showing/breeding/obedience family all my life. Like your girl from Joy as well, have fun with her. Suzi
Hey Gazz... got some news that will make you smile...Floyd got weighed at vet dis arvo.. he's now 16.7 kilos, he's last weigh in 2 months ago 17.8 kilos...guess diet & more running around like a looney has worked lol
I would hate for you with your overbearing arrogance to miss this one. This is my reply to your message about the truth about pedigrees. Well done Gary you still seem to alienate people on this site. can you not get it into your thick arrogant aussie head we dont all want perfection in our dogs - we dont care what your or breeders ideals are have you not realised this site is about people who love their dogs with or without pedigrees regardless of size, shape and weight. Ok if you want the ideal dog to show off and get rosettes for carry on the majority of us want a dog as a companion and something to love and who in return loves us. I must ask are you the standard man? Which is in my opinion a man who can compromise, love you for who you are, take all your faults cos you know you arent perfect yourself, be tolerant of others, listen to other peoples opinions and except that they are not the same as yours? No doubt other members will have a different idea of the ideal man. I have made my point.
Although i do not agree with gregs choice of language or punishment i have to say that having read some of your replies to other members (and friends) forums i think that you ought to learn to live and let live a little. This is a site about dogs whatever shape, size and pedigree and people who love them regardless.
the two boys that i am currently showing are just over the 19kg mark.
but they are are both mature, musular males.
PMSL Gazz..im so going to use that excuse next time someone tells me that Floyds too heavy @ 15" & 17.8kgs, well Floyd is on the muscular side . Muscle density is heavier than fat...
