Hi Di,

you have also discoveered the joys of a "lap Dog". Dray is now 20 kgs and still loves to cuddle. I think it is one of the best things about the breed, they are soooo afectionate. well Dray passed his first test. Now I can register him for half price which won't hurt my feelings. There is a conformation show on this week end so I'm going to go and have a look at whats involved so we can hopefully be ready for the next on in September. We got Dray's name from his kennel name. We couldn't decide on a name for him so we decided to shorten part of his kennel name to suit. He is Kitsin Draven Crow because when he was born he had black lines down his eyes like Eric Draven in the movie The Crow. All we did was shorten the Draven to Dray. simple but effective. any way I'll talk later.

Elsha
Hi Elsha, i had all good intentions of e maiing you on Thursday evening to see ho your test went but as i sat down to the computer I could see my sky tv aerial being pulled through the bedroom wall when i went downstairs i discovered Lilia in the garden and she had found the aerial on the outside wall as was chewing it! Well done to you and Dray for passing your test. Hes a clever boy. I dont want to appear ignorant but what is 'conformation show?'  Is it like agility? I think Lilia would be good at agility cos shes always jumping and leaping about! Not sure she would be trained well enough though - bless her. Liking the explanation of the name too - i like original names (as you can tell) Lilia comes from a more basic thing than Drays - Their was a dancer on a tv programme 'Strictly come dancing' called Lilia and i just thought it was a lovely name! Everyone thinks i have ideas of grandeur!
Well we have had a week of lovely hot weather here and I intend to make the most of this weekend and catch some rays (Lilia permitting! she gets over excited at the sight of bare skin and has to lick you to death - does Dray do that?). When are you starting your new house - my God a child, a dog, a husband and a new house - Good luck.  Di x

Hi Di,

dray is still in training for his obedience trials. We sit a test this Wednesday night. If we pass we will recieve a certificate which I can present to council to say he is basic trained and get half price registration. As he is an entire male the rego is huge ($68.00). We are aiming to compete by the end of the year as we only started training in November 07 so we are both really new at it all. I can't wait though. Once he has started his trials we will also hopefully start the conformation shows. Lilia is beautiful, being your first staffy i'm sure your learning very quickly that they are definately people dogs. Dray just about turns himself inside out when I come home from work, all he wants to do is give me big slobbery kisses. Anyway enough boring you to death. Talk later i'm sure.

Elsha
I dont think ive ever known a dog that is so affectionate! Every night she has to sit on my lap and chew her toys. This is getting more and more uncomfortable as she weights 14.5 kg nows and is boney! but i love the kisses! Good luck with your test on Wednesday. Dray is a great name how did you choose that? Speak soon. Di
