hi elena, just seen your mood status, that is really weird as skye for the first time in her life has been mucking about with her food routine must be their age! been going on/off for last couple of weeks and to be honest i have put it down to attention seeking i know this may sound harsh but i put her food down and if after 30mins she has not eaten it then she will go without and food goes back into container, if it was only me doing it we would not be in this situation after a few weeks i can guarantee it but softie carl sits and tries to persuade her i have told him that this is giving her the wrong type of attention, i really cannot make him understand at times he is harder work than skye, like tonight carl was on laptop and i was on sofa, it 5 to 5 and skye starys to whing whilst looking up at the clock ( i swear) her dinner is at 5 so i get up and put her dinner in bowl in kitchen and i return to the sofa, she looks at it sniffs it and follows me and sits by my feet, carl tells me well go and sit with her and pretend you are eating it, i stuck to my guns and said no, he went to get up and the look i gave him was enough to keep him where he was, he stayed where he was and not even 5mins went by and skye walked off and ate her dinner, carl said nothing and me well i just bit my tongue, but i was Lol inside i can tell you. i really do hope that its nothing serious, and dont know if this will help you but one thing i do know is that it seems dogs will practically starve themselves to get attention. good luck and please dont think that i am a wicked witch but a true beliver in been cruel to be kind spk soon chantal xx
Hey Chantal, thanks very much for your advice. You seem to know what you are talking about and you need to be cruel to be kind sometimes. Muffin has always eaten so well. It doesn't matter what I give her, she will eat it. Harley on the other hand has always been so fussy! It is a lot worse now cos Muffin is in season. When I put the food down and he doesnt eat it he must sense I am getting worried cos he looks at me with his ears back. I am half way muffin's season and it is just so awful. Harley hasn't eaten today and not much yesterday. I am beginning to see/feel some of his bones and I am a bit worried. I was warned that is would happen but now that it is here I am hating it and I worry about my poor boy Thank you for your concern x much appreciated

hi helga, oh how sad i know this is the plan, but it does not make it any easier i'm sure, and like you say you can keep in touch, really dont know how i will cope when its skye's turn, mind you we will more than likely keep a boy and my sister will be having a girl so at least i will still be intouch with 2 of them, who am i kidding i will want to keep them all, sorry to say but i am still waiting to see puppies i think what you may have to do is attatch them to an email, i have never had problems before so maybe 3rd time lucky take care, chantal & skye

hi lynne , thanks again for your lovely comments, i got the ball fron the net www.petlondon.net is about 5inches in size and about 1cm thick, it is hollow and has a little hole about the size of a bottle top so like a bowling ball so easy to throw and pick up, skye played with it whilst out again today and very much enjoyed it and yes she can pick it up and bring it back to me, i think it is so bouncy as it is hollow and the type of vinyl that it is, i call it a luna ball as that is what it has got written on it but they actually call it buddy glow ball. big kisses & hugs to toby & venus, spk soon chantal xxx

I thought you were going to say she had destroyed piggy lol aww I'm sure she will warm to him before much longer. Whats the lunar ball? Sounds good, really bouncy and glows in the dark - is that a big ball, can she pick it up, or is it bigger like the boomer. Did you get it off the net - I wouldn't mind getting one for my two. Thank god, I thought it was just my fella that was like that lol Honestly you would think I was a 5yr old the way he was going on. I wouldn't mind, but I tell you I'm sure he resents me using it - he said there's no games on it you know and you wont be able to go chatting to all your mates cause I haven't got that set up on my computer - miserable bugger! I hope to god they manage to find the problem on mine, even if it means wiping everything off and reinstalling it. I have stored all my data on an external hard drive now so its all safe. hi di, skye sends you a big thankyou for her birthday greeting and also for all your lovely comments too on pics & vids, we had so much fun, she is still not sure about piggy just keeps talking to it , her new luna ball was great we took it out last night on our walk as it glows in the dark and is really bouncy she had so much fun and was knackered by the time we got home (maybe you need to get lilia one ha ha ) glad you did not get stung for a huge amount as sometimes credit card companies still expect you to pay before they sort it out, thats weird with the 02 mobile exactly the same amount as well sounds like some sort of scam to me. pleased to hear that it is sorted so as not to cause you stress. enjoy your weekend hun, big kisses to lilia, chantal & skye xxx
Hi Chantal, we are off to a pet shop tomorrow to see if Lilia has a reaction to her food because she is so excitable all the time! Maybe if shes a good girl she will get a Luna ball too (or i could use my credit card and deny all knowledge of it LOL!). She has a nasty sore on her nose too so it will be interesting to see if thats anything to do with her food (or the fact she rolls her head across the stubble in the fields!).
