I'm sorry to hear that, I can't imagine how that felt. But you're right about insurance, I'm with Esure and i found they gave they best cover for the best price.
Let me know if you do get another dog, would you get a puppy or a rescue?

Hi,

Thank you he is 1 years old and as daft as a brush. What is it like having two staffys ,I would like a bitch but i am a bit bothered about them fighting.

I was concerned about that too when we got Xena, especially as she was a rescue dog and we were told from fighting stock.  She was 15 months old when we got her and Jake was 2 and used to being the centre of attention so I was worried about him being territorial or jealous.  But i had nothing to worry about as when we took Jake to meet her we took them both for a walk and they have been inseperable ever since, I think it was love at first sight!  They toy fight and make loads of noise which can be a bit frightening if you don't know them, and for the first few weeks i kept a good eye on them playing to see if either one crossed the line but they never have done yet.  Sure they pinch each other's toys constantly but they eat together, sleep together and keep each other entertained whilst we're out.
Although one thing to remember is that it is 2x the poo to clean up, 2x the vets bills and it can be harder to get people to look after 2 than 1.  Not that I'm putting a downer on it, I love the craziness that having 2 playful staffys running amok in your house brings, it can be great fun!
Hope this helps,
Jay
