I think i oughta start building an Ark just in case! I am going to write to water board and see what happens. An awning sounds lovely i can just imagine you sat their with Toby and Venus - luxury! Prickly heat must be a pain i usually get one rash when i first see the sun then im ok after that but not this year im coming out in sympathy with Lilia! Shes still chewing her feet. I am going to try the oil mix as recommended by julie so we will see how that goes. Where is Venus going to sleep? Have you got a cage for her. I expect if she can see Toby she will be a bit more settled? The funny thing is even if you are completely knackered and get up a 1000 times a night as soon as you see the little face waiting for you it doesnt matter! Good luck and keep us up to date with venus when and if you have time. I am so envious of you all.  Di xx

Hi Di or should I start calling you Noah lol Yes I'm going to try the oil mix as well, not because we have any problems, but because I think it'll be good for them. We have a crate for Venus for now, I want her to have a place to go, so long as her and Toby get on ok I can see her sleeping with Toby - on our bed with us lol We'll need a bigger bed, or a bigger quilt, as I cant move it once Toby is settled lol Lorraine (Breeders mum, who has raised the puppies) rang me tonight and she told me that the pups have been completely dry for the last 3 nights, so thats looking hopefull. She also said she is the most mischievious of all the pups but very loving. I will do a blog as soon as I can. I'm hoping they will get on, still we will soon find out soon now lol I hope you manage to clear up Lilias feet, theres nothing worse than watching them making themselves sore. Anyway hun, speak soon xx

After my moaning session thought I ought to finish off on a lighter note! Dad came over today to have a look at my water and also to put the seal back on in my dishwasher. As he was bent down with his bald head in the dishwasher Lilia ran over and started covering him with kisses - he was stuck in the dishwasher and couldnt do much about it. Then she started on his ears! It was so funny but was really finished him off was she gave him a big french kiss which is cringeworthy when you know what her eating habits are like when we are out on walks! PMSL

aww-Lilia is so sweet-I bet shes the best looking lady your dad has had a kiss off for quite a while-you cant beat staffy love.
Its a real shame about your water leak-I think they shopuld cut you some slack-how the hell are you supposed to know you have a leak until you gat the bill-plus it will probably cost you a bit to get the leak repaired-pity we dont live a bit closer hun-Richard would have sorted you out.
Jade has just got back from her school trip-she must have missed me because she is being really nice to me-not the normal teenage crap .
She had a really good time-but she is knackered-they had them up at 6.45 every morning and they didnt go to bed until after midnight-and to finish off yesterday they made them walk for 6 hours-my god-I couldnt do that myself-bet her little legs were killing her.
She has also come home with an eye infection-both eyes are bright red and running-but its been a fab experience for her.
Hope you have a good weekend hun-bar work of course-and dont get ripped off by the plumber-lovely to hear from you and will spaek soon. xxxxx

Hi Lynne, Today started out one of those 'glad to alive' days. Even though i was out at 'death' o'clock walking Lilia the sun was out and it was a gorgeous morning. Went up the lane and there in front of me was five fox cubs playing and enjoying the sun - so sweet. I tried to make a noise so they would run off before madam spotted them. She did see them and they soon dispersed but it was so cute watching them. I thought how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful part of the countryside and was counting my blessings (for at least two minutes!). When i caught up with Lilia she was lying on her back with her legs in the air rolling in something! Great my light and fluffy mood just disintergrated then! Then the water board came out cos my 6 monthly bill which is usually £50 was £300 they did some tests and decided it was a small drip in my tank in the attic. I should think a £250 bill would flood the house so i am trying to sort that out too. Anyway i didnt really come on here to moan to you just to say i hope your day has gone quickly and i bet you wont be able to sleep tonight. GOOD LUCK with Venus. xxx

Hi Di, lucky you living in such a beautiful spot, I've seen the odd fox in the past around bins very late at night, but never lucky enough to see a family of them playing. Trust Lilia to find the not so nice stuff lol OMG thats a jump in your water bill, I would imagine you would notice 250 quids worth of missing water especially in the attic!!!! I hope you get to the bottom of it hun. Ive had an awning fitted on the back of the house today, so now I can sit in the shade if we get a summer, that should help my prickly heat no end. I dont know if we will sleep much tonight, but I'll have a bloody good try!  We might not get much for a night or two lol Thanks for your good wishes. Hows Lilias feet now. Hope you have a good weekend, speak soon hun xx

Hiya Di,

Nice to hear from you, we've got our hands full at the 'mo, new puppy came into the house with no fear, terrorising Jester and Willow. We bought some 'puppy' toys to make him feel at home but all he wants is big boys toys. He has his last jabs & microchip on Saturday, can't wait to get him out, too much energy!

How's you & yours doing? I must get organised and sort out proper membership to this staffyclub thing, not sure if I understand everything but have met some nice peeps on here I'm gonna ask you a silly question, if I get a comment on my guestbook, can I reply to it from there, or do I have to go to whoever posted the comment's guestbook? Thanks, Keep in touch!

Hi Pam, sorry another quick question. Does Ruby or Scooby have a sort of crusty bit on their pads? Lilias pads are pinky but on a couple she has a sort of yellowy crust which is quite rough but not sore as such. Its probably just 'wear and tear' but just wondered if either of yours had the same. di x

hi di
scooby's pads are soft...but ruby's are like sandpaper not crusty looking thou...not sure what the pads
should be like rough or smooth

hi di
if you do give that oil mix a try..i had problems getting the wheatgerm oil and julie told me to double up on the flaxseed oil just in case you have the same problem.. and for the first month she advised me to use 2 tablespoons on food with no colourants added..

Thanks Pam I definitely am going to give it a go. Did Ruby have really pink places on her feet? Thats what lilias got and she chews them until they go scabby - nice! Di

when you say on fer feet...is it the bottom(pads)or between the toes..cause ruby had spots come between her toe's the webbed bit...but she flarred up more on her belly and between her front legs ..hope this makes sense it's a bit hard to put down in words lol
