I bought 2 extendable leads but now my two are getting strong, Rocky being the strongest i bought a chain lead and he pulls worse than on the extendable lead. They are all different thickness depending on the weight of your dog/dogs.
Hi Ali I use a padded harness with a 4 metre lead approx. The lead holds Raya well, although she's quite a small staff (14.5 kg). Main issue is rope burn on my hands if I'm not paying attention to the surrounds, and my doggie notices ducks (current favourite) in the distance. Good luck A
Thanks for your replies... my little boy Reece wants a retractable lead for Diesel and Lola so they have a little more freedom. I'll have a look on good old ebay for one, Reece will be very happy now!
hi yeh i use one it gives him more freedom because i never let him off the lead I use the tape one its called maxi 3 and its very strong, well worth the money.
hi, Yep i use a chain lead on the road & a tape type everywhere else. He loves it. Always have & never had any problems. I do find the handles arwark so i just thread his chain one through the handle.
YEAH,WE HAVE 1 FOR LEO AND IT'S GREAT.GIVES HIM A BIT OF FREEDOM WHEN THERE ARE TOO MANY JOGGERS AND PUSHBIKES ABOUT.LOL.WE'VE GOT 1 THAT'S FOR LARGE DOGS SO IT'S A FAIRLY THICK LEAD AND WON'T BREAK!!!!!!!!!!
I use extending leads for both my staffords (J)one of5 metres the other 4 m.One is tape type the other is thick string sort of thing. They are great and strong enough. Harley is almost 9 months and pulls hard sometimes and the lead is just great. The only thing I have found is that as I have two pups they get tangled sometimes and it is quite amusing to see me all tangled up in the middle of the park!!they almost had me over once lol!
YEP I USE THEM BUT THE TAPE TYPE. THEY ARE LIKE CAR SEAT BELTS, MINE ARE 8 MT OR 30 FEET, E BAY SELL IN ENGLAND SOMEWHERE, WHERE ALL THE GOOD STUFF COMES FROM.
I USE THEM ON MY PREGNANT BITCHES SO I CAN KEEP THEM FROM DOING SILLY STUFF WHILE THEY ARE IN WHELP, ALSO YOU CAN BUT A BRACE/COUPLER CHAIN THAT LET YOU PUT TWO DOGS ON THEM, I FIND THEM VERY STRONG.
