Thanksfor kind comments about Duke . I used to have a red Holly she was a real beauty a true Nanny dog . the children were much younger then and could have done anything with her and she never once showed her teeth or growled at them. I went out to get a black female staff this time round but when i saw Duke's wee face i fell for him and picked him so the colour and sex were both different than we had expected to get but now we wouldn't swap him he's so gentle and friendly.
Hi Helga I've just found u in my inbox welcome, My staffy is also very scared of fireworks but I've found the plug in D`A`P's are very good. They contain the same calming pheromones that their mum smells of when they are pups. You can buy them from your vet or online but they are quite expensive, it's best, I've found, to plug it in a week or so before Halloween or bonfire-night. Hope it helps, there is nothing worse than seeing your dog really stressed out but you can't explain what's happening to them. &am p;nb sp; Take care, hope it goes well, Karen

I'm 47 from Sheffield U.K I was an RGN up until a few years ago when an injury forced me to give up the job I loved. Fitz is our 2nd Staff, Dino died 12yrs ago age 12 and what possessed me to get another I will never know only joking I love the breed to bits it's just they all whine but some (Fitz) make a hobby out of it, but he's a lovable rogue and I would never part with him.
