Hi Lynne, Meg's told me on Sunday that she had a music exam on Tuesday and had to play Beethoven's 9th bloody symphony on the piano!. So we download music I drive off to Toys R Us and buy a keyboard only to find out today that its different music to the teachers copy!!. Can you believe it honestly!. lol That was the only trip out all weekend other than Asda. What an exciting life I lead!. lol xxx I'm really glad Sophie is keen to start the programme. Its going to be difficult I think for both of us but worth it if we can get them to stick at it. lol Speak soon hun Luv to Toby and Sophie XXX
Hi Debi, I'm so glad you had a good night with your lunatic lol A girl that works at the place I go for Toby's supplies told me when I had him to give him a bowl of porridge at supper time to fill his belly and help him sleep through, and I think it worked giving it to him about 10pm. When I have my second dog I can't make my mind up yet, it's between a very pale fawn and a light slate grey colour, and I'm seriously thinking of letting her have a litter further down the line! I can't get a new puppy though till Jan at the earliest and Toby will be 17 mths old then, I just hope he accepts a puppy. I wish I had gone with my first instinct now and had two pups from Toby's litter, still I didn't so it's no good harping on it. lol Aww I wish I could have seen Bullit squeezed into the little igloo lol it sounds so funny. I bought what I thought was a basket plenty big enough for a full grown staffie, but he only just fits in it now, so I hope he don't grow much more lol It's just as well he doesn't go in it much, mind you I don't know if our bed is big enough for another staffie lol, maybe we will have to move to the settee lol I'm glad we got the big pedegree chart even though he only has two champs on his 5th generation mothers side, it looks really good hung up on the wall with his picture either side. Can't wait to see the pics. Hope you have a good night hun, speak soon and big hugs to Bullit and the Lunatic lol xxx
Morning Lynne, we had another fab night, i gave her rice pudding with some goats milk at 10pm and she was out like a light and i didnt hear a thing all night, when i opened the kitchen door this morning she came skipping along to me all bright eyed. So i think the porriage, rice pudding thing works. We bought Bullit a larger bed about 2 months ago it cost me 60 quid but its been work it as he wont get any bigger maybe fill out a bit more but not enough that he wont fit. Its a really nice bed with a lovely thick padded cushion thats removable. its a kind of leather look but very hard wareing. I think we are going to go for the 28 quid pedigree as this is an enhanced copy but without the frame as luna does have alot of champs on both sides 25 in total. I think we are going to consider havin a litter from her with the help of paul and helen the breeder we got her off, but not until she is about 2-3, but it all depends on if i can cope with the seasons and what Bullit will be like with her. She really is a stunning little dog Lynne, trouble is with her been black its hard to get a good pic. Well hopefully by end of today i will have more pics on my page. Take care Lynne speak soon Debix big hugs to Toby bless him
I don't know why it so long for teachers to take control of the class, in my day there were big classes and the teacher had the slow ones and the disruptive ones at the front where he could keep an eye on them, and I could just imagine what would happen if we were doing someones hair in class! If we were gazing out the window he would hurl the blackboard rubber at us! But at the end of the day we had a little fear and respect for our teachers, probably cause if they contacted our parents we would get a clout when we got home! I don't remember my mum or dad having to do extra work with us at home either. Hopefully Soph will benefit by this programme and she WILL do her lessons! She knows when I mean business, and knows it's best not to argue lol Soph has another year to do in juniors then she moves up to seniors. It is a worry, but as you say we live in hopes that these kids of ours will thank us in the long run. Soph still swims on a Tuesday evening, when she has finished in this group she then moves to a Sat morning where the competitions start, if she still wants to continue. Using the water bottle sounds like a better idea, that way as you say, Bullit doesn't feel that he is the one being punnished. How did Luna do overnight? Did she cry much and were both dogs in the same room? I can't wait till we can get another puppy, but I have a long wait yet. Hope you enjoy your bank holiday Monday hun, hugs for Bullit and Luna, speak soon xx
Hi Lynne, well LUNAtic (new nickname for her) did really well last night, did not hear her until 5.30am this morning a few wimpers but by 7am she was howling so got up, i think tonight my be a different story, a couple of times i have put her in the kitchen and Bullit in the house with the baby gate for seperation and she has started screaming, they are having a tug play with a big pillow at the moment so hopefully this will wear her out and she will sleep well, the water bottle is a def good point it really is working. What colour would you go for next Lynne if you got a play mate for Toby. He is such a stunning colour and has a beautiful face. Im glad i have got our new pup now cause i think if i had left it later Bullit would not be as understanding and may fight back, oooo if you could see this, we got luna an igloo bed for small cats its not massive but quite big and Bullit is sat in it, he looks like someone has prized him into a can. heehee. Ive had the camera and video out and i off work all week so hopefully i will get them on my page tomorrow, thats if i dont have bags under my eyes from a sleepless night. Well take care. oh think we are going to get the big pedigree like you as she has got some good bloodlines in her, and a lot of champs. Speak soon Lynne Debi
Hi Lynne, you'll never believe it but we had our phone call today!. They are coming round on Friday morning about 10 so we will have the weekend to go through it with Meg. Crikey your right how do people cope when they have more than one munchkin! That by the way was Meg's contribution. lol Weather has been great here hope its lovely where you are Lynne. Speak soon hun Kiss for Toby. Lucie xxxx
Hi Debi, aww I'm so pleased that Bullit and Lunar got on so well. It sounds that Lunar is going to be top dog (mind you aren't all girls!) How old is she, is it 8 wks? Bet she looked funny with the big bone lol I've been left with a cold now thats gone straight to my chest! I'll be glad when its all run it's course and I'm back to normal. To my knowledge Soph isn't showing any dyslexic tendancies. She just dosent like school she thinks it should be abolished in favour of sports all day! At the last parents evening her teacher told me that she spent too much time doing her friends hair in class or too much time going to the loo. Don't know what these teachers are doing when they can't keep on top of a 9 yr old girl who is away with the fairies!! Hopefully this programme will sort her out, I certainly hope so, it's costing enough! Soph's mate has just been diagnosed borderline dyslexic it was a long hard struggle for her mum, who ended up paying for testing privately at Bangor University. Even with that she is still having to fight for help for her daughter. It makes you wonder about the education department doesn't it!! I hope Zac continues to do well, but these kids with a few problems really have a uphill struggle, it's ever likely so many leave school without knowing basic english and maths. It seems the teachers are only interested in the high achievers as it reflects good on the school when it comes to reviews, and the ones that really need the extra help and attention get pushed to one side. It does make me angry. I don't know, we do have our crosses to bear don't we. Anyway hun I've no doubt that you will enjoy whats left of the bank holiday weekend with your new addition to the family. Can't wait to see the pics when you get round to taking a few and posting them. Take care hun, speak soon, big hugs to Bulit and Lunar xx
Morning Lynne, you got it in one, schools just dont care, I have lost count with the times i have been to school to discuss zac's way forward and they make all these promises that never come off so we have took it up on ourselves to do as much as we can, even when he has hated us for it but hopefully it will pay off even though it upsets me sometimes for pushing him so hard, i know in my heart that he will thank me when he is older. Most kids these days dont like school, but going on what i have seen in schools these days when i have helped out im not surprised, its so pressurised all the time and the ones who struggle suffer its no doubt. I hope Sophie does well on the course, at least she is at home without the distractions of class but it will be hard for you Lynne to make sure she completes each level and the test. Zac goes to secondary school this september so that is a bit of a worry as his school at the mo only has 216 kids in the whole school. He is still doing really well with his swimming and has moved up a squad and his latest times have improved and was the highest scorer for his level. I cant take my eyes off Bullit and Luna they are having so much fun, the times they do get a bit too excited with each other i have decided to use a water squirter and "NO" instead of parting them, so Bullit doesnt feel it is him that is getting into trouble and it seems to be working. Luna is like a little pirana forgot how sharpe their little teeth are. Well take care Lynne speak soon Debi
