Dog Toys
Posted On 09/07/2008 20:12:35
Hi Everyone...

This is just to let people know that some toys can be dangerous!!!!

My next door neighbour who owns a king charles had a rope toy when she was a pup,
and she use to shred it and she never realized that she had swallowed some of it..
well the pup became seriously ill and she had to have an operation which resorted in her loosing part of her intestine because the rope had tangled itself round it...
The dog was fine after...and she now is 12 years old.
I was shocked when she told me this because you wouldnt think a rope toy could cause so much damage, and it would just be passed naturally, not get all tangled up

UPDATE...the dog bite...
Posted On 27/06/2008 22:48:39
hi everyone..
Well a few of you might know that my partner lester got bitten by a dog on may day.
A man pissed up allowed his dog to attack scooby and lester split them up and got hurt.
well for weeks now we have tried to find out what has happened and been palmed off by the community police saying we will find out and let you know..

BEARING IN MIND 3 TIMES THEY HAVE BEEN APPROACHED..
and nothing no phone call, in this time we have found out that the dog has attacked 4 other dogs. so this morning lester phoned the dog warden to give her a number of another man who's dog had been attacked.. and to find out what was happening about when he had got bitten she replied i thought i had phoned you back
i give the man a warning and told him to keep his dog under control!!! WTF What a great outcome for lester.
The dog warden did phone the other man and she is going to pay him another visit but with the police this time..I feel if they had done there job's
properly in the first place they could have saved 4 other dogs from being attacked

The scary thing is he still lets him off the lead without a bloody muzzle on. so how many more will there be....
That a man is a F**king prick and don't deserve to keep dogs!! and i hope for everyone's sake they sort this matter out.. before anybody else gets hurt

Anyway thats my rant over

great weekend
Posted On 17/06/2008 19:45:02
As a few may know we went to the midlands for the weekend,
we had an engagement party to go too on the saturday night and then on monday night we went to see britains got talent at the nia in birmingham which was fantastic
i told the kids they was going to another party,so what a surprise they had when we got inside.  gin the dog was just amazing!!! all the acts that was in the final on the show was there they was all just fantastic, they also had tracy there the man who dressed up as a women singing and the lady who danced (big girls power)lol,
my two youngest kids loved the cheeky monkeys  and my eldest loved the winner george who done the dance he did on the show ...
while we was in the midlands thou ruby was poorly she was travell sick
then on the saturday night while we was out, she had the runs  my parents had a lovely job, but they didnt mind they felt so sorry for her and my brother stayed up with her till i got back home.
so it looks like she has picked up a bug..
we travelled back today and she was sick again  she is still very mopey and still got the runs so if there is no change in her tomorrow i will be taking her up the vets..
well enough of me going on !!!
speak to you all soon

police and (pit type breeds)
Posted On 07/06/2008 16:40:25
hi every one,
my friend jan has just recently signed up on the site!!
her dogs name is scrappy, while she was out walking her dog the police stopped her asking her what type of dog it was, (replying a staffy),the officer turned round and said thats no staff he's to big, it looks like a pit!!and followed by saying if we hear it is being used for fighting or has showed any forms of aggresson towards dogs or people that will be it!!!Then the officer took the dog from her walked with him and handled him within a manner to see if he would bite!!the officer returned the dog and went on his way,
Now what i wanted to know as any body else had to go through this, and are the police allowed to do this to anyone who owns a long legged staff.
i was wondering if she would be able to lodge a complaint against the officer, cause to me it looks like he was having a bad morning and took it out on jan and her dog!!!
it has upset jan and now she is scared to walk him thinking she will have him taken off her.
can any one help with any advice on this matter,

bank holiday monday
Posted On 06/05/2008 13:18:34
Well, we all went out yesterday to the Blandford Georgian Fayre,we all was having a great time dispite the odd shower!!!.We left scooby and ruby at home because it gets very busy, its a big lively street fayre with lots of different events and attractions.
Around 5.00 on the afternoon my partner lester went back home to get the dogs because there wasn't that many people about, but before lester got back to me with scooby and ruby this black dog who was with his owner outside a pub shot across and started to attack scooby, lester managed to grab the dog off scooby but got bitten himself on his arm which was quiet nasty, and yes the owner of the other dog was alittle drunk and was a waste of space.Lester flipped as you can imagine and lester was told to move on by an off duty police officer,(unbelieveable)when lester did finally get to me and told me what had happened i was not very happy, luckly there was some police officers walking down towards us, we approached them told them what had happened they told lester to go to the hospital,  they had our details and said it would be handed over to the dog warden, they carried on to see if they could find the man not sure of that outcome, no one as yet got in touch with us.
so what started off being a good day ended up being not so good because of someone not controlling his bloody dog.
Scooby was so lucky if lester had not of reacted so quickly the other dog could have easily damanged his eye, he has a cut right on the corner.
When you have people out there like that it makes you scared to go out with your dogs, because i know  that i wouldnt have had the strenght to split them up.
well i will let you know the outcome!!!! but dont hold your breath.
ME AND LESTER ARE VERY PI**ED OFF!!!!!
