Hi Lynne, this site is very good! I have been a member for a couple of months now. I must get some pics of my staff on think I'll ask my youngest daughter to do it, im liable to erase everyones details! My staffy is about 9months old and she is black with a white chest and white blob behhind her ear. She is called " Ruby ". I have 2 other dogs both jack russells. I have had dogs all my life but Ruby is my first staffy.I didnt realise how loving, loyal, funny ect these dogs are, I work shifts so dont get much time on pc, maybe a couple of times a week, keep in touch, Pete.

Hi Pete, good to hear from you. This is my first time owning a staffie, like you I've had dogs all my life, but mine have always been Heinz varieties from the rescue centres, and like you I found that the staffie seems to have that something extra, even though I've loved them all and miss them dreadfully.
Poor you working shifts. I did a stint on nights once, but hated it, I just couldn't get to sleep during the day with all the usual day time noises coupled with the phone ringing and people knocking on the door etc. Do you cope with it ok, have you been doing shifts for a long time? I have now retired through ill health, basically I had a bad fall 25 yrs ago, which resulted in me being in traction, and later surgery to remove a badly damaged disc. Over the yrs, the calcification of bone, age and wear and tear have taken there toll and I was forced to retire 3 yrs ago. I'm so busy though (and have my granddaughter living with me) I don't know how I found the time to work!
Anyway keep in touch when you can, and lets see some pics of Ruby when you have time, speak soon, take care.
