Hey Di, Lilia is doing really well. Toby went through a rebellious phrase, but I've stepped up the training now and he's getting a bit better gradually. Still needs a lot of work though. I'm also trying to teach the lie down command, been at it now for days, and he's just not cottoning on! But I ain't for giving up, wonder how long it'll take?? Also his recall is a bit lax, he comes back to a point, but stays just far away where I can't reach him! We're working hard on his sit now, he's ok up to a point but as soon as he spots another person or dog the little sod is off!! Keep us updated on your progress, how old is Lilia now?
Lilia is 6 months and shes been/going through the rebellious stage too - like you im working on her training all the time. Like Toby she is totally useless if there's any distractions but im sure she'll ge better in time. I am always looking out for other peoplel/dogs/horses, etc to get her on her lead but its always a race as to who spots anything first! Its nice to know other dogs are the same! Im sure Toby will get 'down' soon. The problem i have is i taught Lilia to sit and then go down so now if i ask her to sit she automatically goes down afterwards! At least we can laugh about it!x
